Comparison and switching service Uswitch is launching a new Broadband Excellence accreditation to help consumers make more confident choices when choosing a broadband provider.
This new rating recognises providers that consistently set the highest standards for both customer service and product quality in the UK broadband market.
As of today, four providers have earned the Broadband Excellence badge - 4th Utility, Brsk, Community Fibre and YouFibre, who are all regional providers. This follows a thorough assessment process where each provider is checked against a detailed set of standards by Uswitch’s broadband experts.
In order to earn a Uswitch Broadband Excellence badge, providers must demonstrate excellent standards across the quality of their offering, including broadband speed, network performance and product innovation.
Providers are also measured on customer service, including genuine customer reviews, efficient response rates to queries, and an effective complaints resolution process.
The new seal of quality is designed to help simplify the busy and complicated broadband market for customers, especially when comparing providers they may not be familiar with.
To ensure the Broadband Excellence badge always reflects the very best, providers will be asked to apply for consideration each year. This means Uswitch experts will re-check performance annually against the latest standards for quality and service.
