“Following the completion of the VodafoneThree merger last week, major updates have been announced as the new brand seeks to deliver on its goal to become the UK’s best network.
“Customers on either Vodafone and Three will automatically be able to make use of both networks at no extra cost or effort - a notable upgrade which should mean better, more reliable coverage. Over time, the Three and Vodafone mobile networks will merge to create ‘The Nation’s Network’.
“A new Vodafone initiative called ‘Just Ask Once’ promises that customer service queries will be resolved quickly, and customers can leave their contract penalty free if no resolution can be reached. This is a big pledge, and could be a game changer for customer trust and satisfaction if it makes good on this commitment.
“Three, Vodafone, SMARTY, VOXI and Talkmobile customers have been assured that these brands will all remain, allowing consumers to choose the best package for their needs. The approach is different for broadband. Over the next 12 months, Three mobile broadband customers will see their service move to sit under the Vodafone brand name.
“VodafoneThree has made some big claims on how it intends to improve coverage and connectivity for its 27 million customers in both the short and long term. The proof will be in the pudding for consumers, and what really matters now is whether these promises translate into noticeable, reliable improvements in everyday service.”
