Responding to today’s announcement from Cornwall Energy that big six suppliers have lost almost 1.5 million energy accounts to independent suppliers, Tom Lyon, energy expert at Uswitch.com, says: “Today’s figures underline the ongoing success of newer energy suppliers in poaching customers from the big six, as well as demonstrate that competition in part of the market is beginning to work. The figures should also serve as a wakeup call for the big six, who need to do more to lower prices and improve on service if they’re to stop more customers leaving in droves.”
