Commenting on the AA’s move into financial products, with the launch of a new credit card Nicolas Frankcom, money expert at Uswitch.com, says: “The AA is dipping its toes into the financial world once again, hoping that a new partnership with the Bank of Ireland will make it a real contender.

“While the breakdown giant will need to step it up a gear to attract those looking for market leading 0% deals, its first credit card is a decent all-rounder, offering 20 months on 0% on balance transfers and purchases.

“The card also offers sweeteners like a discount on European Breakdown Cover and access to member benefits, but it’s a shame full UK breakdown cover isn’t included.”
